Cleeve Carers and Friendship group, this group reaches out to those in the Community who may not be Carers but are home alone or would simply like to meet with others for Friendship. Meetings 2pm St. Michael’s Hall.  
 
The outings programme begins on 
  • July 27, visit to Bourton on the Water and its attractions. 
  • September 28, Taurus Crafts Centre.

Coach fare for both trips £8, pick up point St. Michaels Hall car park at 10.30am. Anyone requiring a lift to pick up point or to meetings please contact 672029.

Vintage and Country Extravaganza

04 August 2018

Volunteers needed during, Vintage and Country Extravaganza on Saturday & Sunday August 4 and 5, at South Cerney Airfield, Northmoor Lane GL7 5QD. Run by the Nailsworth and North Woodchester Support Group that raises money for Cobalt. At the Vintage & Country Extravaganza volunteers help to man the gate, sell programmes and run a tombola stall. We also need volunteers to help on these dates particularly to cover lunch breaks - 11am - 3pm. To volunteer please contact John Perkins on tel. 07929 918793, email at perkibunting@btinternet.com   Hosted by the Stroud Vintage Transport and Engine Club the event is now in its 44th year and promises to be one of the biggest and best countryside events in the UK. The show will feature an impressive display of classic cars and a model aircraft flying display, hundreds of trade stands and plenty of other highlights with fun for all ages.   Admission 10.00am to 5.00pm daily. Animal Blessing Service

05 August 2018

On Sunday afternoon on the August 5, Rev. Dee Brierley –Jones will conduct the annual Animal Blessing Service in Woodmancote Village Hall, Bushcombe Close, and Woodmancote GL52 9HX at 2.00pm, admission free.
This is a short service where we celebrate our love for the animals that we share our life with, and God's love of all He has created, blessings will be given to all your pets. Talks will be given by Liz, Donkey Sanctuary owner, and Julie accompanied by her canine friend Veda who will explain the training involved in preparing dogs to be Guide Dogs. 
Larger animals, horses etc. can wait outside in the large Hall car park, where they can hear and take part in the service - outside blessing conducted. (There will be a car park attendant to assist). All age worshippers most welcome, 2 legged and 4 legged, (dogs on leads, cats in baskets, all invertebrates in cages etc.). Photographs and ashes of sadly missed pets can be brought, as they will be remembered and blest. There is a very large field in the grounds where children and dogs can be exercised!
